Katrina Summer House receives support from the Cross Re Tour program.

In spring 2025, Katrina Summer House has received EU funding from the CROSS RE TOUR program to renovate and improve the interior of the holiday home and create a website to share educational and inspiring materials on sustainable interior design and furniture renovation practices.

The project will be implemented until May 2026.

The project includes:

  • Creating a new interior design for guest rooms by restoring old furniture pieces and making design elements from recycle wood, paper and textile waste materials.
  • Renovating old and outdated furniture.
  • Creating a new guest house website to inform and inspire guests about the experience of sustainability practices.

This project is an important step towards a sustainable, open and educational environment where you can gain knowledge and inspiration on how to use craft skills and various materials (wood, paper, textiles) in a sustainable way by recycling and reusing them.
